Award-winning animated shorts are the kinds of films rarely seen outside of the festivals where the awards get handed out. That's part of why Alexandra Hetmerova's film "Swimming Pool" is such a treat. The charming six and a half minute short about an unlikely connection between two nighttime swimmers has been a festival darling since 2010, when Hetmerova debuted it as a fresh graduate of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. This week, the Czech animator shared her work on Vimeo for the public to see. Take a look below.
