Donald Silverman, the notoriously adorable father of comedian Sarah Silverman, chatted about his love of his daughters in an appearance on HuffPost Live on Friday morning.
Many will remember that Mr. Silverman made headlines after publicly and forcefully rebuking a rabbi who denounced his daughter and her comedy in an open letter. The same sense of pride was displayed when chatting with HuffPost Live's Alicia Menendez as he shared stories about teaching Sarah how to swear at a young age, and made it clear that even as a child, she was just as funny and filthy as she is today.
"One day my mother came to the house. Sarah was about 3 years old," Silverman said. "She said, 'Sarah, Nana made your favorite brownies!' Sarah said, "Shove 'em up your ass, Nana!'"
His only advice for his daughters? "They better marry liberals," he said.
