Eva Longoria 'Was Not Eating' After Divorce

Eva Longoria has opened up about her depression following her 2011 divorce from husband of three years, Tony Parker.

In Friday's episode of "The Dr. Oz Show," the 38-year-old actress reveals that she stopped eating and lost a ton of weight post-split, according to E! Online.

"I was not eating. I was depressed. I was sad. My diet was coffee," Longoria explains, adding that ironically this was "the time I got the most compliments, because I was so skinny."

Longoria met Parker, now 30, in November 2004 and the pair got engaged two years later. They tied the knot in July 2007, but called it quits three years later amid cheating allegations. Their divorce was finalized in January 2011.

Still, the legal battle obviously took its toll on Longoria, who tells Dr. Oz that she had no appetite during the ordeal.

"People kept saying, 'You look amazing. Divorce agrees with you,'" she recalls. "And I was like, 'I don't feel good. I have no energy.' I didn't know I was depressed. I mean, I knew it was a sad moment in my life, but I wouldn't categorize myself as depressed."

She went to the doctor and discovered that she had an iron deficiency and her body "was just depleted of every vitamin."

Longoria's liver was overacting and she learned about "all these things [that] were physically wrong with my body, so I had to saturate with vitamins and kind of get back onto ... track."

Although she followed a strict no-sugar diet for three months, Longoria ended up stabilizing her system and bounced back to a healthy weight. Nowadays she's happier than ever and reportedly dating her "Ready for Love" co-star, Ernesto Arguello.
