A Familiar Face Will Cause Problems On 'Nashville'

"Nashville" is shaking things up with Oliver Hudson in Season 2.

Hudson, who spent seven seasons on CBS's "Rules of Engagement," will recur on the new season, according to TVLine. The actor, who's Goldie Hawn's son and Kate Hudson's brother, will play a potential new love interest for Rayna (Connie Britton), her label's new executive when Season 2 picks up with the aftermath of Rayna and Deacon's (Charles Esten) car accident. Then, there will be a time jump.

Hudson's other TV credits include "Dawson's Creek," "My Guide to Becoming a Rock Star" and "The Mountain." He won't be the only new actor in "Nashville" Season 2: "Sharknado" actress Aubrey Peeples will recur as Layla, a runner-up in a big reality singing competition, and Chaley Rose will play Zoey, Scarlett's friend.

In addition to the new characters, Chris Carmack of "The O.C." fame and Lennon and Maisy Stella will be series regulars on the ABC musical drama.

"Nashville" Season 2 premieres Wednesday, Sept. 25 at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.
