Cat Deeley's Bad Teeth Take Center Stage On 'The Exes'

Cat Deeley is always a stunning beauty on "So You Think You Can Dance." But she brought a different look to her guest-starring role on "The Exes." Deeley played Charlotte, a girl Stuart met online. Understandably, he was smitten with her. That is, until he saw her teeth. No, these weren't Deeley's regular teeth. She had the worst possible set of mangled chompers, fully embracing the stereotype about British people and bad teeth.

As a dentist, Stuart's skin was crawling the second he saw them. So, he and Haskell devised one of those terrible sitcom plans. Haskell would pretend to be a drunken stranger and insult Charlotte's teeth so much that she'd let Stuart fix them.

“What is this, ‘Shark Week?'" Haskell asked her. "The last time I saw a smile like that it had a candle in its head!”

In one regard, the plan worked. Charlotte was so offended that she got her teeth fixed on her own. On the other hand, when she surprised Stuart with her new, pearly whites, she found out about his and Haskell's scheme. And so she broke up with him.

Deeley told Entertainment Tonight that she jumped at the chance to send up the old British stereotype about bad teeth. "I love taking myself not too seriously and being a bit silly with it," she said. "Give me a dodgy old wig and a fake pair of teeth and I'm in!”

Catch Cat Deeley every Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET on Fox's "So You Think You Can Dance." New episodes of "The Exes" air every Wednesday night at 10:30 p.m. ET on TV Land.
