'Couples Therapy': Joe Francis And Abbey Pick Fight With Flavor Flav And Liz

A moment of joy quickly turned ugly on "Couples Therapy," thanks to Joe Francis and his girlfriend, Abbey Wilson. It was supposed to be a time for celebration as Flavor Flav and his girlfriend, Liz Trujillo, announced to the house that they were expecting a baby.

Joe and Abbey, though, decided to shake things up by starting a fight out of nowhere. Flav said that the couple suspected she might be pregnant, but they weren't sure when they first arrived at the house. That was enough to set Abbey off.

“She’s in her second trimester, how could you not know?” she asked them.

“I know, second trimester," Joe chimed in. "It’s been six months. She’s been pregnant for six months!” Actually, she was 10 weeks along, which is a very different thing, but the truth didn't matter to Joe and Abbey. They kept calling the couple stupid for not knowing that Liz was pregnant.

Flav took the bait and started hurling homophobic insults at Joe, which didn't help the situation at all. The rest of the house was a little surprised at Abbey in this fight. Temple Poteat said, "Sweet little Abbey we loved has now turned into villain Joe. Villain Joe, Jr.”

Completing her transformation, Abbey closed the fight by throwing away the tray of chocolate-covered strawberries Flav wanted to share with the house. Ultimately, security had to restrain both Joe and Flav.

Dr. Jen Berman went to Twitter, where she called the fight "upsetting," saying that Joe and Abbey should have never started it -- and Flav should have kept his cool and stayed out of it.

"Couples Therapy" is in session every Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET on VH1.
