The first look at Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson as the iconic hero Hercules is here. Johnson plays the son of Zeus in the upcoming action film "Hercules: The Thracian Wars."
Ahead of the movie's first trailer, which is set to make its debut on Tuesday, The Rock took to Twitter to offer fans a sneak peek at his Herculean getup. The 41-year-old actor sports long locks and a beard, clad in armor and brandishing a weapon.
Johnson, whose hair, makeup and yak hair-beard transformation into the character of Hercules reportedly took hours, recently said that this is the role he was born to play.
Directed by Brett Ratner ("Tower Heist"), "Hercules" is scheduled to hit theaters on July 25. Keep an eye out for the full theatrical trailer later this week.
