On last week's episode of "Couples Therapy," Jon Gosselin had an off-camera phone call with his ex-wife Kate, after which he went on an expletive-filled rant. "She can eat sh-t and die! Well, there’s your honest depiction of Kate Gosselin. So f--k it! Piece of f--king sh-t. What a sh-tty human being!" Gosselin said on the show. Only new reports claim Jon never spoke to Kate on the phone, and the whole scene was staged.
According to RadarOnline, "Jon and Kate haven’t actually spoken on the phone in years; they just text. But either way, the entire scene with Jon exploding and going off on Kate was just something he orchestrated to make himself relevant on the show and make sure he got screen time."
"The whole point of Jon being on the show is to work on his relationship with Liz Jannetta," a source told RadarOnline. "But instead, he’s using it as a platform to trash Kate."
HuffPost has reached out to both Kate and Jon's reps for comment and will update this story once they come through.
Last December, Jon told Philadelphia magazine, "Everyone thinks I’m out to get Kate. I don’t give a f--k! What would I get out of it? Everyone knows she’s an a--hole, you know what I mean? I don’t have to -- she’s proven that!"
A month later, the reality TV star told InTouch magazine that he plans to sue for primary custody of their children. "They live in fear of Kate. Every time I see them, they tell me they want to live with me," he said. "I just wish Kate would wake up, realize how she’s behaving -- and change her ways."
