Bob Hoskins Dead: 'Who Framed Roger Rabbit' Actor Dies At 71

English actor Bob Hoskins, who is best known for his roles in "Who Framed Roger Rabbit' and "Hook," died following a battle with pneumonia, his rep tells BBC News. He was 71.



Hoskins retired in 2012 after he was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in the fall of 2011, but has been one of Britain's most beloved actors, starring in films including "Brazil," "Mermaids" and "Super Mario Bros." He was nominated for an Academy Award for his performance in "Mona Lisa," for which he won the BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role and the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Motion Picture Drama.
