Lady Gaga Closes Roseland Ballroom

Following Lady Gaga's sold out concert at Roseland Ballroom, the legendary New York City venue shut its doors for the last time on April 7.



The final show was available to watch via live stream, but Gaga had been performing at Roseland for seven straight nights as part of the venue's final goodbye, which she called "a 10-day funeral."



Located near Times Square on West 52nd Street, Roseland Ballroom opened in its current location in 1956, but had been around in some capacity since 1919. Since then, it has been a staple for famous (and almost famous) rock stars passing through New York. Frank Sinatra, Louis Armstrong, Madonna, Bob Dylan, Beyonce, The Rolling Stones, Radiohead and so many more acts played on the iconic stage to capacity crowds.



News that the venue would close due to financial burdens leaked in October of last year, according to the Village Voice. But on its last night, Gaga unleashed a party of little monster-sized proportions:
