"The Maya Rudolph Show" premiered Monday and one of the highlights, was a lullaby that guest star Chris Parnell wrote for his newborn son.
The lyrics sum up parenthood -- "You look like Winston Churchill dipped in putty"; "You're living in our house and all you seem to do is sleep and eat and burp and cry and drool and pee and poo"; "Some unknown viscous substance cakes the mattress in your crib"; "I know you'll wake me three more times tonight" -- with a refrain of "But I love you, I love you."
Really, Parnell's conclusion says it all: "The two things I'll be thinking are: I'm exhausted and I love you, I love you."
Anyone else tearing up?
