One of your favorite Disney movies is making a comeback.
If you were a '90s kid, you undoubtably owned every "Lion King" film ever made -- that's two and a half. It was a staple in our childhood, spawned a successful broadway play, had an amazing soundtrack, and now, the family-friendly film is taking Simba's pride to the small screen.
Disney is crafting a TV movie and eventual TV series titled "The Lion Guard." The new show will follow Kion, Simba and Nala's youngest son, as he runs a group that protects the Pride Lands. Both new and old characters will grace the show including everyone's favorite bug-eating duo Timon and Pumbaa. The movie is set to premiere in 2015 with the TV series debuting in 2016.
