Nasim Pedrad won't return to "Saturday Night Live" this season, but on Monday night's "Conan" she got to show off an impression that never fully made it to air.
After telling the story of how she was confronted by Kim Kardashian about her impersonation of the reality star (sorry, Kim, you really DO sound like that), Pedrad shared a photo of her bearing an uncanny resemblance to the "Parks And Recreation" star.
"The producers were always like, 'Hey, what about this week you play a pretty gal?' And I was like 'Or, what if I play another small man?'" she recalled before showing a clip from the pre-recorded sketch that was cut after dress rehearsal.
While Pedrad calls her impression of the handsome actor, "a real boner eraser," and Conan describes it as "amazing," some may find the makeup used by the Iranian-American actress to achieve Ansari's Indian skin tone to be offensive. A snippet of Pedrad's Ansari impression was used in a "Fifty Shades of Grey" audition sketch from 2013 and dubbed "Brownface" by some, though it is unclear if that is why this particular sketch never made it to air.
