Jeffrey Tambor Dedicates Best Actor Win For 'Transparent' To The 'Transgender Community'

If the Golden Globes' exclusion of perennial nominee Jim Parsons from Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy Series was a joke, it's a little too late to say "Bazinga."

Jeffrey Tambor took the honors on Sunday night for actor in a comedy thanks to his work in Amazon's "Transparent." The other nominees in the category included Don Cheadle ("House of Lies"), William H. Macy ("Shameless"), Ricky Gervais ("Derek") and Louis C.K. ("Louie"). This was Tambor's first Globe nomination and win.

In the series, Tambor plays Maura Pfefferman, a transgender woman who comes out to her family. The rookie series was a critical success and has already been renewed for a second season.

This year's high level of competition is evident by the category's exclusions, so a special congratulations to Jeffrey Tambor and all the nominees.
