'Pretty Woman' Cast Reunites On 'Today' Show 25 Years Later

Tuesday's "Today" show reunited the cast of "Pretty Woman" to celebrate the film's 25th anniversary. Julia Roberts, Richard Gere, Hector Elizondo, Laura San Giacomo and director Garry Marshall sat down with Matt Lauer to talk about the movie and what it was like to put together the classic.

"It feels like 45 years," Gere said. "But like I said, that was two marriages ago for me." The cast also discussed the film's original ending. First called "3,000" the script had focused on drug addiction and the last scene showed Gere's character throwing Roberts out of the car and tossing money on her. When Marshall was brought in, he changed the ending.

Gere said he passed on the script a few times and said he didn't fully "get" his character at first. "The joke was you could put a suit on a goat and it would work." Lucky for us, his chemistry with Roberts convinced him to take the gig.
