'The Bridge' Renewed: Season 2 Premieres Summer 2014

"The Bridge" has been renewed for Season 2. The new 13-episode season of "The Bridge" will debut on FX in summer 2014. Diane Kruger and Demian Bichir are set to return.



“We've been blown away by the compelling performances of Demian Bichir and Diane Kruger and the writing of Meredith Stiehm, Elwood Reid and their team, and are thrilled to be able to continue this journey for another season," Eric Schrier, president of original programming for FX Networks and FX Productions, said in a statement. "We look forward to continuing our partnership with Rich Ross, Carolyn Bernstein and everyone at Shine America."



Kruger stars as Sonya Cross, a detective from El Paso who works with her Mexican counterpart Marco Ruiz (Bichir) to catch a serial killer operating on both sides of the US-Mexico border. Ted Levine, Annabeth Gish and Thomas M. Wright also star.

"The Bridge" returns for Season 2 in summer 2014.
