Elton John On Miley Cyrus, Chris Hemsworth On 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show'

It seems that Elton John wants to tickle other things besides the ivories!

When the Rocket Man was recently on Ellen DeGeneres' talk show doing promotion for his latest album, "The Diving Board," the conversation inevitably turned to Miley Cyrus' controversial performance at the MTV Video Music Awards. John was diplomatic and commended Cyrus for understanding what a VMA performance is supposed to accomplish, saying, "The only purpose for the VMAs, when you have all these big artists competing against each other for attention, is to flatten the opposition. She flattened the opposition."

John wasn't so diplomatic when it came time to talk about Cyrus' former fiance, Chris Hemsworth. John revealed to DeGerenes: "I'll take [Cyrus'] old boyfriend, though."

Watch the video above to hear more of his thoughts on Cyrus, Hemsworth, and Lady Gaga being the godmonster to his children.
