Hilarious Art Project Puts Lionel Richie Lyrics On Abandoned Furniture

Every once in a while we come across a clever and hilarious street art project that makes our hearts sing. In this case, our hearts are belting out the lyrics to Lionel Richie songs and we couldn't be happier about it.

It's all because of Molly Evans, a Milwaukee-based artist who has been sewing the words of Richie's immortals tunes onto abandoned furniture found on her neighborhood's streets. Turning someone's trash into the internet's treasure, Evans' "Lionel Stitchie" series is inventive, heartwarming and nostalgic -- the best bit of guerrilla embroidery we've seen in a long time.

"These bulky discards were the remains of university graduates moving on to new chapters, of families starting over with fresh styles, and of people letting go of emotional attachments to tired possessions," Evans explained to Ignant. "I identified with this process of reestablishment and sought to call attention to this important narrative in progress all around the city."

Scroll through photos of Evans' sneaky works below. Yes, you will be humming the words to "Hello" for the rest of the day. Sorry, we're not sorry.
