Anne Hathaway had a harrowing experience in Hawaii Wednesday (Jan. 8) after she got caught in a nasty riptide while taking a dip.
Allegedly, the Oscar-winning actress panicked after she got stuck in the rip current, TMZ reports. According to Radar Online, Hathaway was "screaming for assistance" before a nearby surfer rushed to help her.

The 31-year-old reportedly scraped her foot on a reef as she made her way to shore, but her husband Adam Shulman was there to tend to her wounds. He got a first-aid kit and bandaged up his wife's injured toe.

But all was fine after the incident, as Hathaway was seen smiling as she strolled along the beach in a bright blue sarong and bikini later that day. We're glad she's okay!
