MTV's 'The Challenge: Free Agents' Sneak Peek Previews The Drama

MTV's "The Challenge" is back and about to get rough as hell. No more alliances. No more teams. No more strategic flirting. (Okay, that last one still happens.) Each "Real World" alum is on his or her own in the 16-year-old franchise's latest season: "Free Agents."

"As host TJ Lavin says at the beginning, for years you guys have whined about people about holding you back," show creator Jon Murray told HuffPost TV. "You complain about people making it to the finals on the backs of others. You know, it’s time to put an end to that. Let’s do free agents."

At times, the "Challenge" contestants may work together in teams or pairs, but when Murray explained the rules, it's clear no one will feel safe. "Say there’s one winning pair in a paired challenge," he said. "Then they get to decide a guy and a girl to go into the elimination. Everybody else who didn’t win is in what we call 'The Draw.' One by one they have to flip a card over. If it’s got the kill card on it, they’re in the elimination."

In typical "Challenge" fashion, there's hooking up, breaking up, making up, fist fights and drunken brawls ahead. Watch an exclusive clip of the April 10 premiere above. As Murray said, "It's really delicious."

"The Challenge: Free Agents" premieres Thursday, April 10 at 10 p.m. EDT on MTV.
